I'm going to put up two poems today because I want to rush these out so I can show you guys my new project soon. If you are my friend on Facebook or have visited my Flickr page then you already know what it's all about. I'm pretty excited about it and by the time I'm done posting these poems I'll hopefully have all of the first issue done. Anyway, here you go, hope you like it.
What is Life?
What is life
but a series of events
We move along
not changing overall
we are who we are
not to say we don't
we do
only meaning as a while
we are
and will be
unimportant
uninfluential
but easily influenced
we walk
we talk
and live
as we are told
marching in step
to someone else's drum
off a cliff
until someone turns left
when others keep going
a rebel
the next drum beater
Weekends
Weekends are aptly named
as an end
not only do they end the week
but they are ended
by a week
always continuing
little grabs at real life
wastes of time
no better than weeks
teases
a glimpse of hope
during a week
to keep us going back
for that next week
and that next weekend

Poetry
I thought I'd post some poems, but not all at once. Here's the first. I hope you like it. You probably won't.
Afternoon
I come home
the house is empty
I change my clothes
the cat welcomes me
he wants food
I log on
here are friends
the news is grim
it interests me
I could go on a walk
but I don't
I turn on the tube
I watch
without watching
beats being alone
Silence is maddening
Others arrive
I'm alone still
Time Passes
in Limbo
Sleep
no rest

I change my clothes

he wants food

I could go on a walk

A Quick Update
Once again I have neglected my blog. It has been twenty one days since my last entry, so I figured I should write something. I don't know why I choose now of all times. I've been up for over a day on 4 hours of sleep from the night before. I'm such a retard.
Anyway, I guess I'll makes some recommendations to you of various media you should consume. First up I think everyone needs to see the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie. I think it is really spectacular. The fights are amazing, the animation is breathtaking, and it is pretty much the TMNT thing I have ever seen. Some may disagree, but the nostalgia value is so high that I dare you not to fall back in love.
Another movie I just saw was Zodiac. Now I have to say going in that I was interested in this movie, but I wasn't exactly dying to see it. Now that I have I would have to say this is the best horror movie since Silence of the Lambs, which it feels very similar to, but not in a rip off way. The plot is interesting and it will genuinely scare you, not just gross you out or shock you. Highly Recommended.
As far as Video Games go I haven't gotten anything new in a while. This is mainly because I've been having to save money for prom, but I do have some suggestions. There have been a few games I got on the Virtual Console on the Wii. Some obvious ones would be Super Mario World, Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Mario Kart 64. But if you're looking for something more obscure or unique, I would highly recommend Kid Icarus, Legend of Kage, and Ristar for single player, and for multiplayer you should get Bomberman for VS and Streets of Rage for Co-Op.
As far as TV goes right now there isn't a whole lot I'm watching, but How I Meet Your Mother and The Class are still on, unlike some other shows I won't mention. I have been using this downtime to watch a lot of internet TV though. To see the things I'm watching on YouTube just check out my profile. My name is PojoBaon. The things I recommend most though are LonelyGirl15, DaxFlame, and BlameSocietyFilms' series Chad Vader. And while you're there check out my videos, which should be more numerous when I get around to putting up the others.
I'm also really into Podcasts as TV substitutes, so here are some I think are well done. DiggNation goes without saying pretty much, iFanboy is cool if you like comics, and the X-Play Daily Podcast is good. In fact, really anything on Revison3 is pretty good. If you don't know what that is just Google it.
But the best thing I can recommend to you is in the best form of media, and that is the written word. Right now I'm finishing up my third time through the complete works of William Shakespeare. Now I'm fairly certain you all know him, but it's probably been a while since you've read any of his stuff, and it's about time you picked it up again as it is probably the best works of English literature in any form ever. And if you can see it performed even better.
Other than that stuff I have nothing else. Not any crazy new music, but maybe next time I'll have something great for you. Anyway, I'm going to take a good long computer break, and maybe a little nap. Until next time, peace.

Some Random Things
I have a few things to talk about today. The first that comes to mind is that Heroes was amazing tonight. It was one of, if not the, best episodes so far. For anyone who is on the fence about this show, jump off and start watching. NBC is making it easy for you.
Not only is the show on their website for free to watch, but Heroes is also on hiatus until April 23rd. To make matters worse for me though, The Office is also on hiatus until April 4th. So angry at NBC right now, but also thankful that these shows are at least still consistently good.
Next, I am currently listening to some really good music. My current favorites are Streetlight manifesto and PANIC! at the Disco. I recommend both, and very highly. Maybe later I'll post more about music, but for now i don't have time.
And I'd also like to post a bit about Crackdown, as I absolutely love that game. Unfortunately, I don't have time now for that either. Another post as well perhaps. I also need to talk more about college and Prom soon. Jeez, I have a lot ahead on my plate. Oh, well. I have Friday off. Maybe then. But for now, Peace.

School
I know I haven't written anything in a while, and that kinda sucks, because I wish I could write more and more often, but alas, it is not to be. My life has been pretty dull as of late. I did buy Crackdown a bout two weeks ago, which is amazing. It was a bit to short though, as I've already finished it. And that was a week ago.
School is annoying. It's not that i find it hard, it's more like I think I could do better things with my time. I really enjoy writing, but school tends to cut into how much writing I can do. Good writing anyway, not writing about what a teacher tells you to write about.
As of late I've been reading a lot to ass my time. As an insomniac I have more time than most. I find when I tell people how much time I spend on my computer, watching TV, or reading they always say something about how I have to much free time. The fact is though that I never have enough. This semester especially, as almost all of my homework has been able to be completed in Study hall. Did I mention I love study hall?
My girlfriend has been busy with bowling a lot lately. She is the best female bowler at the school, and this weekend is state. So thankfully I may be able to spend some actual time with her outside of school. I miss her a lot an it;ll be good to be with her more often. She really is amazing, even if she doesn't know it.
I don't have much else to say for today, but i think I'll leave you all with some recommended reading, Recently I have been reading the complete works of William Shakespeare for the third time, and it is once again amazing. For English we just finished "Waiting for Godot", which reminds me a lot of Shakespeare actually. And finally The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins is something i need to put more time into, but is none the less amazing so far. Until next time, peace!
