Poem 2 + 3

I'm going to put up two poems today because I want to rush these out so I can show you guys my new project soon. If you are my friend on Facebook or have visited my Flickr page then you already know what it's all about. I'm pretty excited about it and by the time I'm done posting these poems I'll hopefully have all of the first issue done. Anyway, here you go, hope you like it.

What is Life?

What is life
but a series of events
We move along
not changing overall
we are who we are
not to say we don't
we do
only meaning as a while
we are
and will be
unimportant
uninfluential
but easily influenced
we walk
we talk
and live
as we are told
marching in step
to someone else's drum
off a cliff
until someone turns left
when others keep going
a rebel
the next drum beater


Weekends

Weekends are aptly named
as an end
not only do they end the week
but they are ended
by a week
always continuing
little grabs at real life
wastes of time
no better than weeks
teases
a glimpse of hope
during a week
to keep us going back
for that next week
and that next weekend
