Hey everyone! It's Thanksgiving here in the US today and I thought I'd give a quick explanation of my review system here before I get to far along. Firstly, I view video games, or interactive entertainment as the higher ups like to call them now, as art. I think since culture has began we keep accepting more and more as culturally relevant art. First there was visual art, then music and the written word, and more recently, at least relatively, are Movies and Television. Now, I think the next step is Video Games, because they provide a relevant and unique experience.
So, I like to review the games as art. Now, I don't remember where, but I recently read an article about how video games now are reviewed like consumer products or gadgets on a scale of ten where as Art is reviewed on a scale of four. Four would be an excellent experience that comes highly recommended, three is a very good one, two is average, and one is negative and not recommended. So, that's what i'm going to do from now on.
And, to finish up this post, I want to conclude my experience with Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock. I talked about the game earlier, but I've had the chance to play it more since then and it's grown on me a bit. Mainly I've been playing through it with a friend on Co-Op and it's a better experience. The game is still a bit worse than the past iteration and Rock Band in my opinion, but I feel comfortable enough with the game now to give it a 2/4.
